2 Important notes about this course
Welcome to the online, asynchronous version of BIOL 121: Fundamentals of Biology!
A few notes about this course:
- You will be required to procure lab materials on your own. As a result, you will not be charged a lab fee as part of this course. All materials purchased for this course are yours to do with as you wish once the course is complete.
- In a classroom setting, the lab period lasts 110 minutes (1 hr, 50 min), and as such, you should block out that much time per week to spend on lab assignments. The amount of time required to complete each lab varies, and several labs require experiments to sit overnight. Some assignments, such as lab reports, require time to complete outside of the lab period.
- Some labs have supplemental instruction in the form of short videos. These will be available to you through Panopto on Sakai.
