38 Executive Summary

An executive summary identifies a policy recommendation or solution to a given problem in a very brief report. It is intended to be read by decision-makers (hence the name) and should:

• include problem statement in introduction
• recommend a specific course of action to solve problem
• highlight the value of your given proposal and objectives
• identify key takeaways in conclusion
