Hands-On Activity | Try an AI Tool

Purpose

Engage directly with generative AI tools to apply your understanding from previous resources, evaluating their practicality and effectiveness in addressing real-world academic and professional tasks relevant to your UBalt experience.

Instructions

  1. Select one of the following generative AI tools:
  2. Try at least one of the prompts below in the tool you’ve selected:
Generate questions to help me prepare for the Bar exam.
I’m surveying my peers about on-campus resources. How should I set up my survey so that I can get the best data visualization in Excel?
What should I know about health systems management in Baltimore City?
I need to write a persuasive essay for my college composition class. Find reliable sources discussing transportation in Baltimore and create an outline for this assignment.
  3. Follow your instructor’s directions for submitting this assignment to your LMS or elsewhere. You may be able to copy and paste the results as a text comment, share a link of the chat you had, or screenshot/record the chat.
  4. Once you’ve posted your chat, add a comment with some reflection. Consider these guiding questions:
How did the tool generate its response? What did it look like? How long did it take?
Were the results accurate? If so, how do you know?
Were you satisfied with the results? Why or why not?
Would you consider using this tool to help you with classes at UBalt? Why or why not?
BONUS: If you are able, try the same prompts in one of the other tools. How do the results differ?
