Module 4: Policies, Plagiarism, and Syllabus

In the era of AI, it is more important than ever for higher education institutions to have clear and transparent policies on plagiarism, syllabus design, and AI use. This module will explore the policy and academic dishonesty considerations of AI in higher education for yourself and with your students, and provide guidance on how to develop guidelines and syllabi that reflect these considerations.

Outcomes

By the end of this module, you will be able to:

  1. Evaluate their perceptions and concerns around AI plagiarism.
  2. Develop a syllabus statement or class policy language addressing AI use.
  3. Create a class activity outline to explore AI use policies with students.
