5 RAELISM COMMUNITY
Research methods are the strategies used for collecting data and evidence for analysis papers or projects with the intent to uncover new relevant information. They also help us by creating a better understanding of a topic. My research method that I used to complete these analyses was Google: I analyzed a couple articles and used my own knowledge on the topic from what I have seen or heard from friends living within this community.
The community I have chosen is a religious community known as Raelism. Raelism is known as a UFO religion, but for the people within this movement, they see themselves more as a group of people that are looking for the truth about humanity and are more focused on bringing peace. This group/religion was founded by Claude Vorilhon—that now calls himself Rael and portrays himself as the biological son of God—in France in 1970. The movement took off back on December 19, 1973, where Vorilhon claimed that he experienced an abduction by aliens and this race of alien were known as the Elohim. The movement has been seen as a cult due to the way they handled their meetings and because people are afraid of the unknown. The Movement has been banned from Europe also it founders because it was seen as blaspheming God. Their goal after bringing peace is to build an embassy to welcome the Elohim here on planet Earth. They also have several books that explain the Bible in detail, without the extraordinary metaphors but with science and understanding proof. Reading the books could have you question your entire existence here on Earth and wonder about other living beings on other planets. It is rather amusing and interesting the idea of us not being alone on this planet.
The Raelism movement had stated in one of their books that we human are bio-computers. That statement had me thinking of my finding on how humans only use 5 percent of their brains—that has me wondering what would happen if we used 5 percent more. The theory of Raelism could be true: National Geographic has shown UFOs sightings, fossils, and images of older life on Earth before Jesus Christ.
