The Robert L. Bogomolny Library

The RLB Library

The Robert L. Bogomolny Library has many resources to assist you with research and academic writing. Librarians can assist you with research, either at the library or online. You can also schedule a research consultation with a librarian.

The Writing Center

All writers benefit from sharing their works-in-progress with interested, engaged, and knowledgeable readers. Writing consultations at the Writing Center (located in RLB Library, BL 217) provide writers with feedback and individualized revision strategies for improving their writing–at any stage in the writing process.

Writing Center services include:

  • one-on-one consultation
  • online consultations
  • revision strategies
  • identify error patterns
  • small group discussion
  • in-class peer review
  • in-class workshops

TurnItIn

The University of Baltimore licenses TurnItIn, a plagiarism detection software, to help identify plagiarism. Click through the slides below to learn more about TurnItIn and how you can use it to improve your writing.

Navigating the Similarity Report

Similarity Reports contain information that can help you improve as a writer. Click the plus signs in the graphic to learn more about each feature of a similarity report.
